On the *other* side of the suspension bridge at Jokulsarlon, rarely visited by tourist buses, the black sand beach is covered by crystal clear icebergs breaking up on the shore. I've never seen anything like it before.
A glacial lake with absolutely sublime views. The ice floes come from Vatnajökull, Europe's largest glacier! This was the only stop we took in Iceland over the summer which actually contained ice.
