Tasmania is a small island State, to the south of mainland Australia. This is one of the most diverse and rugged places on the planet. Visitors should be warned... you will return after your first trip, time and time again.
Although the island is not large by any standard, a full exploration would take many years to achieve. It has something for everyone, with a coastline that seems tropical in many places, isolated beaches, dense jungle & wilderness, rugged peaks that can receive snow at any time of year, and much more.
Tasmania is home to a diverse range of fauna and flora, and is a must see destination. Largely undiscovered by tourists, and reasonably inexpensive to visit, yet offering a range of activities and places for all ages and interest types.
