The classic hoodoo -- a weathered column of soft sedimentary rock topped by a much harder, protective stone.
One of the most popular sites in the Alberta, Canada, badlands is the protected hoodoos site along Highway 10 (the Hoodoo Trail) east of Drumheller. Visitors can follow a trail around these unusual geological formations -- and might also want to wander along the gravel road and see what geological formations lie around the corner.
