About this place:

The Stork Fountain of Copenhagen Denmark.

The Stork Fountain was erected in 1894 to celebrate the silver wedding of Crown Prince Frederik VIII and Crown Princess Louise.

Since the 1950s it has been a tradition that newly-qualified midwives dance 'round the fountain. In the 1960s it acquired a kind of cult status as a gathering point when protest singer Cæsar sang about "The big bad Stork Fountain"
