Istanbul's Yearly Rocking For Peace Festival Barisarock

Each year, in the height of the summer, a network of social groups organise a free rock festival in a forest just outside of Istanbul. With only a budget of 5000 dollar it is easily visited by fifty thousand people, all there to enjoy an unique 3-day festival, with free entry and camping-space, reasonable prices for drinks and food, over 30 popular and upcoming rock-bands from Turkey and a great ambience. A great way to experience youth culture in Istanbul!
