The end of a day of amazing Seaglass discovery and bitterly cold winds at Narragansett Beach, Rhode Island.
Narragansett Beach is on the southern coast of the western leg of Rhode Island. The beach in itself is fairly standard with a few exceptions. First is that it contains a beautiful marsh area on it's northeastern edge with a very powerful rip current that is, as many things in nature are, amazing and dangerous all at once. Also is it's vast abundance of quality sea glass, resulting from it's position facing into Narragansett Bay, where for many years in the past bottles were discarded in smaller and larger amounts. In the winter, the beach is rather cold, but all the more gorgeous for it ,as one has the entirety of the beach all to oneself. In the summer, Narragansett Beach is rather popular, abutting many summer homes and resort locations, but is still well worth attending (particularly after a storm or a near-miss from a hurricane) for the larger waves on the southeastern edge.
