High Anxiety

High Anxiety

Lobby of the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero, San Francisco

Description

This modern hotel, built in the early 1970s, was made famous in the 1977 Mel Brooks film "High Anxiety," which spoofed the films of Alfred Hitchcock. The centerpiece of the hotel is the vast interior atrium. The hotel has an excellent location at the foot of Market Street, just across the street from the Ferry Building (and it's superb Farmer's Market), and at the eastern terminus of the California Street cable car line.
