Trees and 134 Freeway Overpass seen from Lower Arroyo Park, Pasadena, CA
The Lower Arroyo Park is a narrow strip of parkland in Pasadena, California that runs south from the Rose Bowl along the Arroyo Seco. Originally a dry wash, the Arroyo Seco has been contained within concrete banks through most of the park, but exists in its natural state directly under the 134 Freeway. Also crossing over the park is the Colorado Bridge, once referred to as "Suicide Bridge" once popular for ending it all because of it's height. The park contains a wide variety of mature trees, a bridal path, archery range, and is a great place for a hike in the middle of the city.
