One of the better hotels in town is Hotel Turpan. Ideally for business meetings but also good to get a room.

They have an indoor swimming pool, a gymnasium, sauna and even a baby sitting service. Quite unique in Turpan

    Arriving in Turpan, a guy picks us up. His name is Memmed.
    Memmed brings us to a very posh hotel. We see the prices and immediately know this is not for us. Memmed tells us it is low season and he will get a good price for us. For less than a quarter of the original price the room can be ours. We get a cable TV, a bath with hot water and last but not least a telephone on the toilet. I'm sold
