This is a tiny zoo located in the historic town of Folsom, CA. There are chickens everywhere clucking and crowing and flapping their way around the zoo.
This is a tiny zoo located in the historic town of Folsom, CA. You can leisurely walk through the zoo in about an hour and a half. This is a great zoo for small children because it is small and accessible. It's not so good for photographers because all the animals are in cages and it is hard to isolate them from the bars.
This charming little zoo has the typical lions, tigers and bears...and many other animals. Most of these animals are considered "rescue" animals: animals that cannot be released back into the wild due to injury or other condition.
The hours are 10-4 in the winter and 9-5 in the summer. Cost is about $4.00 for adults. This is a great zoo for children because it is small and the animals are very close. It is also located in a wonderful park and a play yard and a small train that will take you for a ride around the park. Fun!
