Apparently the world's largest angel sculpture, this is also one of the most-viewed artworks in the world, seen by more than one person every second (thanks to the motorway it overlooks!) It was my dream to see this controversial metallic hulk ever since coming across its likeness on a bmi luggage tag, and I wasn't disappointed. It's a bit out of the way, yet accessible from Newcastle via public transportation. I proudly posed for a picture, arms outstretched...only to see several young children also had the same "creative" idea as myself.
