Park Grounds, Frederiksborg Slot (Castle)

The tranquil setting outside the Frederiksborg Slot in Copenhagen is the perfect place to enjoy the lenghty hours of daylight in summer.

About this place:

Frederiksborg Slot (Castle) is a palace on the outskirts of Copenhagen in a village called Hillerød. It is the oldest Renaissance palace in Scandinavia and is home to Copenhagen's Museum of National History. The castle is a very picturesque setting, with the palace situtated on three small islands in the center of an enourmous baroque garden and extensive park grounds.
Don't forget to check out the impressive Chapel of Orders, part of the museum, and if it is a sunny day, take a stroll along the various walking paths beyond the gardens.
