  On any given day you can walk down the murky streets of San Francisco and find yourself on the corner of Powell & Market streets, also where the cable car lines begin to watch endless games of chess played by the city masters. There is one long row of tables and chairs of people playing chess right on Market Street. The site is reminiscent of what you would find if you were strolling in New York City's Washington Square Park.
