Lake Kittamaqundi is a 27-acre man-made lake in the heart of Columbia, Maryland, USA. It has many features including a seasonal boat rental house, a dock one can fish off, an exercise/hiking path, numerous restaurants, and is home to many species of bird-life (mainly ducks and geese). It is also noted that this is oftentimes a pitstop for geese during migration season. During the summer the lakefront is used for concerts and films. It also hosts a large fireworks arrangement on Independence Day. The lake oftentimes has events such as festivals held and other times it is just a pleasant, quiet area to spend an afternoon. Nearby the lake are many restaurants (some of which offer outdoor seating so you can watch the lake) and a mall.
