A view of a small part of Daffodil Hill. There are gentle pathways and many places to stop and admire the view.
From mid March through the end of April, Daffodil Hill blooms with thousands of daffodils (estimated at around 7,000.) This area is located about 11 miles from Sutter Creek, CA, and a mile or so from Volcano, CA. The owners of this picturesque property, whose family has owned it since the 1800, open it up to visitors for free...donations are welcome. Although not officially promoted, every year thousands of visitors wander through the site and admire the gorgeous fields of daffodils. The trails are not paved, but they are easily traversed. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy in the lovely picnic area. Parking is also free.
