Tecate, Baja California is a nice quiet town, this town is in the middle of the state, it touches all other major cities like, Tijuana, Mexicali,and Ensenada.
Tecate is famous for its beer Tecate Beer, and its world famous bread, theres a very good mini mart and BAKERY where one of the best bread is made and it happens to be owned by my dad, its called Panaderia Sotelo, you have to taste the bread he makes. located in km14 Hiway Tecate-Ensenada.
Tecate is also known for its pottery and blown glass. It also hosts a Fair every year called Tecate En Marcha it lasts about a week, great fun.
There have been people living there since about 1777, but in 1833 a Peruvian living in San Diego Ca. was given a consesion of land and paved the way for the actual city of Tecate,
