Legoland California theme park opened in 1999. It is the third Lego theme park and the only one located outside Europe. You won't find people with larger than life character suits walking around or hear songs from the latest animated movie. Here the theme is Lego- a simple toy which has inspired generations of children across the whole world.

The park is divided to to areas based on Lego toy themes such as Dino Island and Knight's Kingdom. Miniland USA is an area filled with Lego models of famous cities in the US such as, New York City, Las Vegas, and New Orleans. In 2007, a water park was opened call Pirate Shores. Yes, it has roller coasters and other traditional theme park rides but what really makes this park unique is its landscape.

The landscape is decorated with statues and signs all made for Legos anyone could buy in a store. This makes it inspiring for Lego fans, young and old.
