My partner & I are at Butchart Gardens just outside Victoria, BC, Canada. At the time, we thought this was the most clever photo we'd ever taken.
In the late 1800's, Jennie Butchart, wife a cement manufacturer, began to refurbish a quarry pit into a sunken garden. Over the years, other gardens were planted around their home. Today, the gardens contain over 700 varieties of plants that bloom from March through October. Butchart is spectacular!
