Old Montreal (Vieux Montréal) is the heart of the original city from the 18th century. It's located down by the old port district and is lined with cobble stoned streets and 19th century buildings reminiscent of old Europe. Calèche rides (horse & buggy) can be taken throughout the area and there are many quaint restaurants, shops and specialty stores in the area. It's a must see area for any tourist coming to the city.
