354 (08 meter) steel hyperboloid tower with an observation deck at 300 feet above sea level. Kobe, Japan
Kobe, Japan is a seaport city of about 1.5 million people that flourished under busy trade with China and Korea starting around the 8th century. It is most famous for a severe earthquake that devastated the city in 1995 and for its beer-fed, hand-massaged Kobe beef which is among the most expensive meat in the world. Today it is an important manufacturing center and container port.
