SUDDEN IMPACT

I had spent an hour photographing this pair of male bighorn sheep hitting each other. There were about 30 ewes located about 75 yards up the canyon wall.

About this place:

The Big Thompson Canyon connects Estes Park/RMNP with Loveland, Colorado. The Big Thompson River runs along HWY 34 and is well known for it's excellent fly-fishing and the bighorn sheep that seem to cling to the walls of the canyon.
