About this place:
Notting Hill is a fashionable neighborhood in West London best known for the Portobello Road Market, the Notting Hill Carnival and a 1999 film starring Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. The area has some of the most desirable and expensive real estate in all of London, but also features an interesting mix of shops and restaurants.
On Saturday mornings the Portobello Road is filled with myriad vendors selling everything from antiques to clothing and food items. The annual August Carnival has its origins in the Caribbean immigrants who populated the area in the 50's and 60's.
