walk the grounds of Ryōan-ji Temple on a class field trip.

About this place:

Ryōan-ji is a zen temple in Kyoto. It has a rock garden which is pretty famous in all of Japan. Basically you're supposed to walk in and sit around the rock garden and think about what it means to you or what it means at all. I remember when I visited I was only allowed to take 3 photos of the rock garden because I was made to sit down and shut up. Oh and think for awhile. By my friend who took me there. I will definitely go back one day alone so I can take pictures without thinking.
