About this place:

An abandoned fort from the 1860s built to protect settlers from attacks from Native Americans. There are a variety of adobe ruins throughout the complex that are great to wander around and twice a year there are civil war reenactments. At one point the Pony Express came through this area and there are details at the visitor center.
