North Georgia, the Blue Ridge Mountains Helton Creek rushes past a shattered bolder covered with moss.
Located in the Chattahooche National Forest, 3.2 miles east of Highway 19, Helton Creek Falls are a pair of cascades on Helton Creek.
These falls are easy to reach over a good gravel road that winds down along the creek to a well maintained observation area. The forest is full of rhododendrons, and is probably spectacular in late April, and May.
