Blue Bay Inn

Blue Bay Inn

The Blue Bay Inn is easy to get to from Manhattan by taking the Sea Streak Ferry from East 35th Street or Pier 11 Wall Street – takes about 40 minutes (it also stops in Highlands). Overlooking Sandy Hook Bay, it is a rare boutique hotel offering a great location for a business meeting out of the City or a quick getaway at the shore

We found the Blue Bay Inn on the internet. What a wonderful experience. My wife and I arrived to a great staff, warm smiles and clean clean rooms. The staff suggested taking a walk down to the new trail by the water. I have never experienced nature so close to home. The trail that winds it way along the bay was a magnificent it was called the Bay Shore Trail. We rested in the room ate dinner at the Copper Canyon Restaurant and had the most magnificent crab cakes and steak. Then we went to the movie theater (within 2 blocks) for a movie before bed. The breakfast was well, surely a light continental breakfast but good and fresh. We went to indulgence cafe around the corner for bacon and eggs, Cheep $12 for both of us. When we got back to the hotel we were greeted by the General Manager Bob and Patty and told of all the things in the area to do, We took our map and went exploring. Sandy Hook beaches were less than 2 miles down the road and were magnificent. Not to mention the sun was shining, unlike today. We had food at the Sea Gulls nest right on Sandy Hook and relaxed. Later we went back to town, saw the sunset over the Manhattan skyline and ate again at Copper Canyon, Just cant get enough...... The next day we had to leave. It was the most relaxing mini vacation we have been on in a long time. Next time we are staying mid week, It's less $$$$. Our room was was quite reasonable. We highly recommend the place. Call Bob if you have question he is surely at the helm of this magnificent establishment.
