Best Fried Potatoes in Delhi
Street food vendors are everywhere in India, but in New Delhi some offer these amazing fried-on-order potatoes. Potato cubes are fried to a golden crisp in peanut oil and sprinkled with sea salt and lime juice.

It took about two and a half weeks before I felt adventurous enough to eat food off the street in India, and when I finally did I was in for a treat. Start by finding a stand busy with locals and shimmy up to the front, then just point to whatever looks good. A lot of Indian street food is fried, so you don't have to worry much about getting sick. This man in the Old Delhi section of the capitol is one of many vendors who fry potatoes while you wait. The result is a piping hot snack better than any French fries I've ever eaten.
