About this place:

One of the highlights of my last trip to New York was the couple of hours i spent at the zoo. Yeah, you can go shopping, and i guess you could go to the Met, but i've done that on other trips, so on a whim i went by myself to the zoo, and i'm really glad i did.

It's not a very big zoo, but it's well laid out, it was fully remodeled in the 1980's, and they have a few of my favorite animals, polar bears, red pandas, and my personal favorite, otters. They also have California Sea Lions, which i found amusing, since they are considered to be less than exotic in the Bay Area, but they put on a good show for the kids at their daily feedings. They also have penguins, which also have a public feeding twice daily. (2 of the Chinstrap Penguins ignited debate a couple of years ago when it was announced that they were gay.)
