  For my father-in-laws 70th birthday, we wanted to take him someplace memorable, and the Sherman Restaurant was indeed the right choice. The Sherman, a beautifully renovated transport ship floating in the San Francisco Bay, has great views both of the water and planes coming in for landing at San Francisco International. Although there is a full bar, we brought a special bottle of champagne for the occasion and it paired very well with the excellent menu of oysters, steak, scallops and very decadent deserts. It was an outing my father-in-law will never forget.
