All my life, I've heard horror stories about Independence Pass - the narrow, twisty roads, the steep drop-offs, the white knuckles from holding on for dear life. Only recently that I rode along Independence Pass for the first time and found it not scary, but breathtaking. With such exquisite views, every stop along the way was a photo opportunity. At the summit we stopped to see the view and heard distance music. We saw a truck towing a boat filled with men playing the bagpipes and enjoying the fresh, mountain air. You can't get more Colorado than that!
