Even the bike parking is beat-era cool at Caffe Trieste

About this place:

Caffe Trieste, in San Francisco's Little Italy, is the coolest coffee shop in the world. Caffe Trieste was opened in 1956 by Giovanni Giotta, or Pappa Gianni as he is known to friends and family. It was an instantly popular beat hang out, the poets and boppers flocked to it for the strong espresso that kept the groove going. The latter part of the next decade found Francis Ford Coppola writing the screenplay for "The Godfather" at Caffe Trieste. And to this day the Caffe inspires the writers and the seekers, the tourists and the locals... everyone fueled by that good good coffee.
