Praça da Sé-- the main plaza in the historic center of salvador, pelhourino notice how the church is lopsided-- only one side has a tower on top. this, they say, is b/c they ran out of money to finish building the church.

The name of the Old City is "Pelhourino" and it is the historic center of Salvador in Bahia. It was built by the Portuguese colonists, but the culture and religion are East African (Angolan mostly, and another country I forget).
