The city of Atami, Japan is a great place to spend a weekend away from it all, it has bars, a nice clean beach with not that many people, they have a lot of onsens or hot springs, they have a castle and a park, and you can walk all around, nice restaurants, good seafood, and a cable car, an amusement park (it's not really big mind you) you can take a ferry to the nearby islands where you can see more things, they have hotels and the train is right there accessible for your convenience.
