This is simply the best place in the world to see African wildlife, especially if you go there in July and August at the time of the great migration. It doesn't initially get your attention because it is the lowly wildebeast who migrates, but the reason it creates such an awesome display of all the African predators is that they follow the wildebeast who follow greener pastures. We only had 1 1/2 days in the Mara, way too short a time, and we still saw lions, hippos, crocodiles, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and, of course, wildebeasts.
