This was my generation. I remember a girl in my college dorm screaming when her fiance' was killed in a Shinook helicopter ctash. I remember how we all had to plan our weddings around deployments. My college room mate my senior year was married but in the dorm because her husband left for Vietnam two weeks after their wedding. Later, I was married for one month before my husband left. We knew these men, we loved these men, we missed these men, we mourned these men. No politics changes the sacrifice or the courage or the young lives left unfulfilled
