  We stopped along the road near Kabarnet in Kenya at a roadside market, and here was this local hotel tucked in the small row of stands. Feeling self-conscious about my curiosity, I grabbed a quick picture. What I really wish is that I had the nerve to ask to see the inside and take a picture of it. My guess is that there was nothing but a simple cot. We had a driver in Kenya, and as we searched for $8.00 hotels for us, he would go off on his own and find a place more like this.
