On our way to Kuala Lumpur we visited the city of Putrajaya and this mosque. It was well worth the two hour stop to see the fine Islamic architecture, and beautiful tree lined streets. A newly built city, 25 km south of Kuala Lumpur, it is the new administrative center of the government. The mosque's five tiers represent the five pillars of Islam and its five calls to prayers. It is a very peaceful place to stroll around in and was a lovely start to our Malaysian adventure.
