We were recently there on vacation, these photos pertain to the entire island so im not going to make specific locations for each one......it would just take to long. If you have questions you can email me ill be more than happy to answer them. As far as the island itself goes, it is an island of great ecological contrast. There are some ares that you drive though and it is nothing more than barren lava rock desert, and other where you feel like you in the middle of Montana grazing land. The kona coast has the most swimmable beaches on the island by far, many are great for snorkeling and taking underwater photos. If you want to see turtles this is the island to go to as they are everywhere. Driving the entire island is an all day event, and you drive all the way through in one day expect to see a lot but know that you have missed a ton. On the other hand if you choose to stop at different locations youll see a lot more but theres no way to make it all the way around before nightfall. The Big Island is truly an amazing place, but if your idea of paradise is lush green forest go to the Island of Kauai. Besides that i highly recommend visiting.
