A favorite of family and friends and a great meeting spot inbetween San Antonio and Austin, Gruene Hall has led to many great times. The Market Days in Gruene focus on local artisans and are a great time to head to Gruene. There are quite a few restaurants to hang out in and a personal favorite is the Gristmill River Restaurant. I usually get some good old fashioned home cooked meal and attempt to get a seat near the Guadalupe River. After all that shopping and eating head on by the Gruene Hall and listen to some of the best local acts around, mostly Country or Americana music are found here, and grab yourself a beer at one of the most rustic bars around.
