The Montmorency Falls are the highest waterfalls in Canada. To get to the top, one can take the gondola, or climb the 467 stairs straight up the side of the hill.

About this place:

Montmorency Falls is a large waterfall in Quebec, Canada, located just east of Quebec City. It is taller than the famous Niagara Falls at 83m (272ft.). It drops into the St. Lawrence River.

    Visiting Montmorency Falls was one of my favorite parts about going to Quebec. At first, I was just planning on photographing the falls from the road, but then decided to shell out the very reasonable fare to enter the park. The falls are higher than Niagara Falls and are incredible to behold. I climbed the 467 steps (yes I counted) to the top of the falls that are built on the side of a steep slope and walked the bridge across the falls. From the top, there are beautiful views of Quebec City and Ile d'Orleans.
