Heron Island is located on the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia. It is primarily a park and research station for the University of Queensland. However, it also has a wonderful resort on it that can be reached by Ferry or Helicoptor. The resort offers scuba and snorkeling, nature walks, star gazing, reef walks and protected beaches for swimming. A wonderful family expierence!
