Located on Chicago Park District property, alongside Soldier Field near Chicago's Museum Campus, the Gold Star Families Memorial & Park honors those policemen & women who gave their lives defending the citizens of Chicago.

"More then 520 Chicago Police Officers have given their lives to protect the people of Chicago. These brave men and women were more than just Police Officers. They were parents, spouses, and children. They were your neighbors, your friends, and your protectors, and each served with loyalty to this city and to you, its citizens. Each one of them went to work on their fateful day knowing the risks that came when they decided to dedicate their life to protect all of us."
