About this place:

The Ataturk Olympic Stadium in the Ikitelli district just outside Istanbul was completed in 2002 and can hold over 81,000 spectators.

It will forever be remembered for hosting the most amazing Champions League Final in history in 2005 when Liverpool FC stormed back from a three goal half time deficit with three goals in six minutes to stun the Italian giants of AC Milan and take the final to extra time and subsequently a penalty shootout. Liverpool amazingly won the shootout by 3 goals to 2 to win their fifth European Cup and delight there millions of fans across the world.
