Originally part of an unsucessful commercial housing site, this peaceful park has since been converted to a municipal garden. Overlooking the serpent-like mosaic bench is one of the two main buildings at the park's entrance.
Parc Güell is one of Gaudì's sanctuaries in the city of Barcelona. It shows the genius of the architect/artist on mixing nature and architecture. Absolutely a spot to visit, possibly not during weekends (too many tourists) and on a sunny day: the view from the overlook balcony is absolutely amazing.
