  One of my favorite places in New York City to visit is the public library. Not just your average library, this holds many historical items in cases inside. It is quite easy to get lost in such a massive building with huge rooms, so don't go in expecting to be able to find a book as easily as a normal library unless you frequent the building. A great place to find a unique and special book and sit down for a quiet read.
