The town of Mammoth Lakes is located in the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains southeast of Sacramento and northeast of Fresno. At nearly 8000 feet, Mammoth Lakes and the surrounding areas make a wonderful skiing destination, and during the summers, the local parks and lakes are absolutely stunning.
Mammoth Lakes is a dream location for skiing and boarding, hiking, mountain biking, camping and fishing. During the winter, the town comes alive as the snow season kicks in. During the summer, it is a popular tourist destination as well as wildlife abounds, and the lakes and forests come alive with trout, wildflowers, bear, eagles and osprey.
