New Years Eve in Copacabana, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Every year an estimated 2.5 million people gather on the beach in Copacabana to celebrate the arrival of the New Year.
Built in 1785, the Plaza de Toros found in Ronda is one of the oldest operational bullrings in Spain. The arena has a diameter of 66 metres, surrounded by a passage formed by two rings of stone.
The "Plaza de España" is one of Seville's most easily recognised buildings.
In 1929 Seville hosted the Spanish-American Exhibition and numerous buildings were constructed for the exhibition in Maria Luisa Park, among them the Plaza designed by Aníbal González.
The Art Deco-era Hotel De Anza opened in 1931. For many years, this was San Jose's only luxury hotel with clients including Eleanor Roosevelt, Jack Dempsey and film stars like Susan Hayward and Paulette Goddard.
The beautiful, 25-foot high diving lady was painted on the building's exterior in 1951 to promote the hotel's heated pool.
