One of the many arcades along Point Pleasant's boardwalk. I love the colorful light bulbs along the top.
Kohr's arcade still showing the signs of old times. What I loved the most about the boardwalk arcades, shops, and rides at Point Pleasant Beach were how simple the signs were and how no one changed the look of these places.
A pinball arcade full of vintage pinball machines. It is located in an old hair salon and costs $10 to get in and all the machines are free after that.
My favorite of all the old signs and arcades on the boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach. Franks Fun Center, with its "old time" choo choo train.
Ha! Can someone please tell me what Fun Game is?
A very, very cold and windy December morning on the boardwalk in Point Pleasabt Beach, NJ. Despite the weather, the off season is my favorite time to visit boardwalks along the east coast.
The sight of neon and other lights everywhere give a constant glow inside and out, that adds to the festive atmosphere of Seaside Heights and its many arcades that line the boardwalk...
Imagine a video arcade circa 1982 that one day was locked up and sealed for 25 years, and then suddenly reopened for business just like it was. Ground Kontrol is just like that, though they did ad a few slightly newer classics like street fighter and some other popular games from the 90s.
