A wonderful Romanesque building with many ornaments on the outside choir wall
The large Onofrio fountain in Dubrovnik (Croatia) was originally built 1444 above a large cistern gathering the water coming in by aqueduct from 12 km away.
In the background are the church "Sveti Spas" and the old Franciscan monastery
During the Balkan war the fountain was hit with a shell, destroying the domed roof of the fountain.

It felt really good to lay under the sun on such a green garden ...but this was before we discovered the rest of Ireland, with its desert fields and infinite horizons...
everything felt perfect that day...having lunch on the garden togehter with the locals on lunch break made us feel part of the city...

Bogolyubovo, a small yet historic settlement on Russia's famed Golden Ring, was founded in approximately 1158 by Prince Andrei Bogolyubski. It is currently the location of the Bogolyubski Monastery and the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl.
