You walk through a 1.5 km track inside the forest and see waterfalls and giant trees. It's such a magical and pure place!
I was so stressed and after a two hour walk, I got out feeling entirely healed.
The place also offers a brunch.
It's a private farm so you have to pay a fee to walk, and you are adviced to walk quietly, so you won't disturb the animals that live inside the forest. -

Sequoia National Forest
Sequoia National Forest is located south of the eponymous national park, and is a worthy detour if you're traveling north from LA. The forest features plenty of trails and campgrounds - and if you're in a sports car, Highway 190 is a fantastic drive.

One Day To Live.
Mount Baldy, California; about 20 miles from a raging forest fire at the time. Road & Mountain trail were closed...I snuck in to shoot this before it burned.

We're supposed to be on a trail?
After spending most of a week in our tents watching rainstorms pass thru we decided to bail out of the Southern Picketts in the North Cascades NP. Our choices were slim - a long 2 day traverse involving several rock faces, or the quick route - a descent of 4,000' thru Devil's Club,downed timber and other underbrush.

Gasthaus Heiligenbrunnen
The Gasthaus Heiligenbrunnen is a hidden gem in the southern Black Forest not too far from the towns of Hinterzarten and Titisee.
It is located perfectly as a goal or starting point for a hike through the landscape.
The food is excellent with good sized portions for a very fair price. -
Hooker Falls
Hooker Falls is located in the Dupont State Forest in Western North Carolina. It is about a ten minute hike down a gravel path that is well maintained.
